Diner at Ophelia’s | 2025, 6:44’

Diner at Ophelia’s is a video which addresses the violent and unpredictable nature of moral values.
That which is being lived, said and proclaimed can only exist within a social setting where these actions are accepted. No absolute good or evil rules the world.

The intimate setting of a dinner reflects the state of a society which is, in a certain sense, inherently narrow-minded and closed off. In order to function as a group, we need to have a certain agreement on what is acceptable and what is not. Something which is always built on preconceived ideas, either through the particular relations of the  people at the table or through a socio-cultural heritage that has been carried on people’s backs for long periods of time.

Something seemingly loving, kind and warm can easily turn into disaster.

But who is to decide upon what is disaster and what not?
